| Wow, so it has been awhile, again. Seems to be a habbit.
Life at the moment is, in a word, is wonderincredifulicalable. I went to see the girlfriend this weekend, and had an absolute blast. The trip down was ok, long, and at times a bit aggrivating. I was driving a stick and getting the hang of it took a little while. But hey, now I can drive a stick. I got there friday nite at about 11, and Victoria came out to meet me. We got my stuff into the apartment and hung out for a while. She gave me my b-day presents, soapstone (2 3.25x3.25x5 inches) pewter (5 lbs i think?) a 5 in tall crucible, a pair of tongs, and carving tools for the stone as well as a little bag with slots in it for the tools. All from Rio Grande. FREAKING AWESOME GIFTS FROMA FREAKING AWESOME GIRLFRIEND!!!! I have really been wanting all of that, i really like casting. Now i want to get some carving wax too, and try the lost wax method of casting. I have some ideas for what to cast, like Mooneschadowe coins, I want to try to make signet rings, and jewelry, cool A & S stuff, and even parts for a wind up watch. More on the casting stuff later.
Saturday morning, we pretty much layed around. We had plans for going to Dallas, but decided to just stay in town for the weekend. I am glad we did, alot more privat, Us time and not so much running around. Time to just sit and talk about what matters. Around noonish we left and went to a couple of stores, looking for wax and leather strings, hit up the book store. She got a book called Sex with Kings. Don't know what that is about...  ...anyway. Afterwards we went back to her apartment and got ready to go eat with her Family. Yes her Family. It was actually a blast. It was cool to see her parents out of the SCA context, even though they are huge in the SCA. And her brothers are pretty cool too. They remind me of my own, especially Chris, he reminds me of Quint, tallish, skinny, and very funny. They are even about the same age. We cooked out for dinner, Vic's dad and brothers and I cooked outside, V and her mom, got everything done ready inside. As V likes to put it, we her father and brothers and I were bonding, and I suppose we were  . Like I said they are Cool people. We talked about everything from me in school, to fighting, when he was a squire, fightin when he was a squire, tournaments, and everything else. His viewpoints and oppinions are very interesting, in a good way. After dinner I got to look through some of there photo albums, from way back when. And after word Chris, V, her dad and I played a couple games of magic, which was fun.
The next day, Sunday, we slept in, and then got ready to go to fighter practice. That was a blast. Fought against Duke Patrick Michael and Duke Rishard(spelled phoneticly(lord i can't spell)) as well as her brothers and a couple others. They have an interesting way of practice. First there is the warm up fights, where Each Duke goes one on one with each other person there, just throwing easy shots, telling us to throw something back only if it is horribly obviously open. Then they do a hold the field, everyone numbers off and no. 1 fights no. 2, then 3 then 4 etc. Then when it would be 1 vs 2 again, it goes 2 vs 3, and so on. You think, no biggy right? After 3-4 weeks without a good hard practice, and lots of junk food to keep me up studying, I started sucking wind pretty quick into my part of hold the field. I'm just glad that I got to fight both Dukes at the begining when i could give a good showing. New plan for fighting up here at home. Get a 2x3, put it on someone, and then learn how the hell to get around it. Those things are annoying as hell with the extra corners. Afterwords I fought a few pick ups with my round, and florintine, both with Duke Rishard and others. Then I before one of my fights with D. Rishard, D. P.Michael said he couldn't believe I was keeping him waiting (I was putting my helmet back on and was having some trouble with the camail not falling into place). I said I was sorry I had forgotten my squire's belt of agillity at home ( I thought i saw it in my tote, turned out to be a roll of red duct tape) when Victorias brother said, and I quote, "What, you get south of the Red River and you're ashamed of who your Knight is?"
I will give you a moment to collect yourselves and reread that past line.
My response to him was find your helmet and get some gauntlets, we are going bastard swords, and I have two so you can borrow one. After my fight with Rishard, I get the swords, and one has a thrusting tip, the other is lighter, longer but has non. He picks the one without the thrusting tip, though his dad and everyone else says he should take away my strong point (they don't use thrustys down there, I use mine religiously) So we decide to fight a few and swich. So we fight a few, he lands one or two good ones, but I deffinately came out on top, and yes, I thrusted him in the face a few times. Then we swich. Now, I wanted to make a point that I knew there was more to a sword than just the point. here is the result

I watched Victoria fight rapier, she looks goodand like she has a lot of fun. I'm glad about that.
Afterwords we went to get some food and then headed back to her apartment, showered, and then just hung out. It was nice just to sit and talk. Later we went to get more food, and I got X-men 3. We won't discuss the movie here
Monday, I got up with the intention of leaving at around 3, about 5 i decied to stay one more day and leave at 8 in the morning on Tuesday. On monday though, We got dressed up, sorta, and I took out to eat, to the Olive Garden, and then to the Marble Slab for desert. Coconut ice cream is good. Afterwards we went back to here apartment. I attempted to corrupt her by putting World of Warcraft on her computer, but her vidoe card would not allow it, so she is going to have her brother hook her up with a new one. Yes I know, bad boyfriend, but this way, we can both play a really fun game togeather and talk at the same time.
Tuesday I didn't leave untill 10, but got home at 3:45, and found out I didn't have to work today.
All in all, this past weekend was great, I had a lot of fun with Victoria. I am very very lucky to have such a wonderful person who loves me as much as she does. And yes, I do love her very very much. And I know I want to be with her.
ok, the fingers hurt, don't have to do this much typing in WoW...
I will try to update more often, and if anyone had any ideas on casting, leave me a comment, even if it is something silly, it might just give me an idea....

| ok, so its been awhile. Anywho, excuse the typo's i've been drinkin. Ok. Things have been going pretty good. Steppes Warlord was awesome. If it would have been more 2 days it would have been better than gulf wars. The fighting was awesome, and so was being asked to gaurd the prince during morning court on sunday. But the best thing of all was getting to see Victortia. I don't really know what to say here because things are fantaboulus with her. I just feel really happy when i get to talk to her and look forward to talk to her everyday. I'll move on, cuz if i don't i won't stop talking about her. Castlen was very good to. Didn't get to fight, but i did get to see Victoria again. I swear, that week was damn near like christmas. 'cept she couldn't stay.
Work is ok. I work at atwoods now, in the tire shop. I was working with Vlad, but he got a new job at firestone. I'm looking for a new job. Trying toget hired on at Ocean dental as there technology assistant. I don't think my interview went to well, it really showed how inexperienced i was for that postition. I really hope i get it though. I like atwoods, except for having to deal with customers, my boss, and phone calls that have nothing to do with the tireshop, like how much are you hamocks, or do you have sprayers. Crap like that. Anyway. I'll try to post later, really tired and buzzed now, plus working 11 days in a row really takes it out of you.

So...what to type....hmmm.
Gulf Wars was a blast. Almost uncomparable to last years. We kicked ass and won the battle ribon, again, but shared it with Northkeep this year. Probably my favorite battles were the ravine and the fort battle. The ravine for the war point I didn't really use my great sword, but used my secondary a lot. When someone would try to push on Vlads shield, he would move the bottom corner so i could see there legs, and then I would kneel down and start wailling on their leg. When the went to there knees, they put there shield over their head and I would hit them in the cup or Vlad when slam his big a$$ mace onto them. The fort battle we defended it for something like 33 minutes, we had two reserections, and they had unlimited. We actualy made most of them so tired they stopped for a while. It was great.
Made alot of new friend at Gulf, and met somone. She is really, really cool. I've pretty much talked to her every day this past week. I may write more on this later. Really wanted to go to crown. I hear they have a really, really cute autocrat 
Life in general is going. Still trying to pay off my bursar to re-enroll. They would have given me my Financial Aid, but i wasn't enrolled this semester so they didn't, because they wouldn't give me my financial aid. Pretty screwed up huh?
Other than that not a whole lot going on. My fighting seems to be going ok, and I'm almost done with my new helmet. My kit looks good too, I just need to get some shoes that look good aparently. I'm going to try to get some pictures too.
